geboren 1960 in Kirchdorf an der Krems / Oberösterreich.
Lernte Euphonium und Posaune an der Musikschule Kirchdorf.
Mit 15 Jahren begann er ein Studium an der heutigen Anton Bruckner Musikuniversität bei Prof. Doss.
1979 erhielt er die staatliche Lehrbefähigung.Seit 1985 Posaunist im Bruckner Orchester Linz. 1986 Diplomprüfung mit Auszeichnung.
Seit 1990 Mitglied im Johann Strauss Ensemble.
Walter Schiffler was born 1960 in Kirchdorf an der Krems/ Upperaustria.
His first lessons in euphonium and trombone he got at music school Kirchdorf.
At the age of 15 he was accepted at Anton Bruckner University with Prof. Doss.
Since 1985 he is a member of Bruckner Orchestra Linz.
1986 graduation with distinction.
Since 1990 he is a member of the Johann Strauss Ensemble.
